white horse

a little bit of mistery today, ladies...

once upon a time at a flea market i was looking for white plates and vases. in one of the vases i spotted a white glass horse. as i said before, i am more of a minimalist, so little figurines were never my kind of thing (although i love seeing them at somebody else's place).
but when i took the horse in my hand, i just knew it's been waiting there for me. it costed me a smile and a 'thank you', and went home with me.

i felt so drawn to it that i was just carrying it around in my pocket.
oh, did you know? white glass can become so warm it almost feels alive.

and recently i found out why i had to have this little horse. in the beginning it seemed too good to be true, yet i had no choice but to believe it.

i know it's not very, uhm, polite, to start a story and not finish it, but... the rest must remain a secret!

i just wanted to tell you that things talk, too...
sometmes it really pays to listen :)

i so believe things come to you at the right time, and things definitely talk to you. my ears are always open for this reason, and listening and being alert to life's wondrousness is what living is all about.

and, so when will you be brave enough to tell us about the white horse?

My brother has a tiny china horse just like that one; I think he was given it when he was born. It is from Ireland, where my mom is from. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the story (if it comes!).

My sister and I (thrift store aficionados) believe that if you "put it out there" that it will suddenly appear, sitting right there on a shelf waiting for you...has happened over and over. But please...we need the end of the story!

Ohhhhhh, I love that horse. And I know exactly what you mean.

I bought a tiny pair of carved fish for the same reason (in a thirft store too) and like to keep it in my pocket.

I rub it with my hand. It fits in my palm. It sounds silly, doesn't it, but it's like he's a special messenger.

Just knowing you have a secret makes me smile!

I just stumbled upon this blog, and now I'll be up at night wondering what the heck the white horse means. It's so twin peaks.
